Most European countries are safe for a single female to visit. When I was still single I’d go into trips to Spain, Germany, France, Italy on my own.


Australia, especially the big cities such as Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne are also good. I spent two weeks exploring Melbourne and the countryside on my own ( although I did meet up with a university classmate in Melbourne at the tailend of my trip for some catch-up)


In Asia, the safest places to visit for a single female are Japan and South Korea. Again, stick to the big cities as there could be language issues in the countryside.


Taiwan and HK are also great!


In Southeast Asia, Singapore, Philippines , Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia are pretty safe for single travellers ( plus Southeast Asians are super nice and friendly!).


Professor E. Thrush pointed out that "most European countries, but the place where I felt it the most was Japan. It was like a weight off my shoulders. I don’t think people in the US realize how much energy it takes for women to be on the defensive all the time."


As a female visiting west Africa, Monrovia should be your best pick as many side attractions awaits your presence. Part of which are the 


Liberian National Museum:


Situated in the national capital Monrovia, the Liberian National Museum is centered on showcasing the culture, tradition and history of Liberia with well preserved artifacts and artworks in three different galleries, historic, ethnographic and cultural gallery. There is also a craft shop.


Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve:


The Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, shared between Guinea and Liberia. The reserve features a mountain Mount Nimba, where around 200 endemic species are found, including big cats, civets and Chimpanzees. Yekepa is the nearest settlement to Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve in Liberia.


 Sapo National Park:


The sapo National Park is the only national park of Libria, covering an area of around 1,804 sq. km. Established in 1983, the park is located in Sinoe County, where Greenville is the closest city to Sapo National Park. Including African fish eagle, great blue turaco and African civet, the park houses a substantial number of wildlife.
